Candles, Candles, there are many, but there is only one that pays tribute to an artistic, diverse and eclectic city like Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville Candles mission is first, restore the art of candle making by using only farmers soy and a fine grade of perfume oils and second, create scents that name specific locale and streets of Asheville " Land of the Sky".
The collection will launch with three completely different scents as well as names of Downtown Streets such as LexingtonAvenue, Biltmore Avenune and Wall Street. Each season a new launch will be introduced to infuse the richness, culture and diversity of artist's, boutiques, and restaurants and of course the magic of Asheville.
Ellington's masterpiece of Asheville's City Hall Building became an inspiration for the label and seal, with its 1928 Art Deco design and beauty, definitely a symbol and a reminder of the wonders and magic of this mountain city.
Each candle is handmade from the first pour to the Wax Seal on top of the jar. local master Woodworker Chester A. Spier hand crafted eachwooden lid and used native wood found in Western North Carolina, Walnut for Lexington Avenue, Cherry Wood for Wall Street and Ambrosia for Biltmore Avenue. The natural wooden lid embraces the scent and makes a lasting impression.
